Voestalpine – USA

The shiploader supplied by Bedeschi has a boom 50 meters long and a loading capacity of 2,400 tons per hour.

With its weight of 500 tons, the shiploader at Voestalpine in Texas is one of the largest ever shipped out of Venice.
Its task will be to load deep-sea vessels with HBI (hot briquetted iron). A peculiarity of its construction is its ability to use a special spiral chute system to reduce dust emissions during the loading process to an absolute minimum.

The crane is bound to rails, just like the two unloading cranes already installed in the craneway systems in the harbour basin.
This gives the crane operator optimal capacity to precisely position the material during loading.
