The limitation of fines is a requirement in different industries. In the cement industry and in general, in the handling process, it is crucial for the efficiency of stacking and reclaiming units that come after the crushing system (less clogging, power absorption, wear and dust emissions).
In the aggregate industry fines are considered a poor material, therefore the limitation of fines results in better product quality and higher margins. The limitation of fines is achieved due to the low speed of the rollers and the direction of the rotation.
