Guglielmo Bedeschi founded the Officina Meccanica Guglielmo Bedeschi in Padua.

Guglielmo Bedeschi designed and built a new brick shaping machine, the so-called «extruder» and succeeded in taking this machine to Turin to the International Exhibition of Hygiene, Art, Industry, Production; for this product he was awarded the Certificate of Honour and the First Degree Gold Metal.

On 21st September 1921, the 45-year-old Guglielmo Bedeschi was appointed – further to the proposal of the Ministry of Industry – Knight of the Royal Crown of Italy.

Bedeschi was awarded the “Superior Prize” Medal at the First Exposition of the International Exhibition in Rome.

Guglielmo Bedeschi expanded his business with the new company name Officina Meccanica e Fonderia Guglielmo Bedeschi registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Padua.

Bedeschi extended the existing factory with the new cast iron foundry. At the time having a furnace for iron casting was a primary requirement.

A Bedeschi subsidiary was set up in Rimini, equipped with a foundry division, run by one of the sons, Antonio. In the same year another subsidiary was set up in Gorizia, equipped with a mechanical workshop, run by Palmiro.

When the Gorizia factory was expropriated, its manager Palmiro, in agreement with his brothers, moved to Argentina where he set up a subsidiary with mechanical workshop in Merlo, on the industrial outskirts of Buenos Aires.
The foreign market provided new opportunities.

In the continuity of the Bedeschi family, the company’s ownership remained to Rino who since 1958, has been effectively helped by his son Guglielmo, then a university student. Bedeschi started an important diversification in sectors related to its core business.

That year saw the beginning of the construction of the new Limena factory with the new company, Officina Meccanica Bedeschi s.n.c. 50,000 square metres of industrial area, of which 20,000 are covered!

Emblematic evidence of the company’s dynamic attitude of that period was soon after the end of the war in Vietnam, the presence of Bedeschi in Saigon for the supply of different types of machinery for a new cement plant in Hatien.

Bedeschi supplies in India a series of crushers with an high capacity for bauxite.

Bedeschi supplied the first extruder equipped with a 750 mm auger for large outputs to La Capiterlina brick factory

First mobile crushing unit for underground mine (Unicalce).

Bedeschi specializes in the marine industry developing transhipping solution such as: floating cranes, tanshipment vessels, floating terminals, artificial isles or pontoons.

While continuing to do what each partner does more efficiently Bedeschi, Liebherr and Logmarin have launched a strategic business alliance, under the name of Bulk Logistic Landmark to serve the discerning customers a larger variety of integrated products and services.

Bedeschi took over CTP Team located in Cinisello Balsamo, Milan, thus creating the conditions for a fruitful commitment of the company also in the sector of air-gas purification systems in the same industrial sectors where it has already been working.

Bedeschi celebrates 100 years of experience, confirming the basic features of its long history. Today the company management is performed by Eng. Rino, fourth Bedeschi generation.

Bedeschi supplies the largest and most powerful floating terminals ever built: Ore Fabrica and Ore Sossego.

ONT Spa, leading company in the production of bulk material handling systems had been incorporated in the Bedeschi Group. ONT was incorporated in 1957; with over 55 years of history and a track of success in different fields it has the appropriate size to booth being able to sustain complex projects and being flexible enough to match customer special requests.

Milestones in the Company expansion is, with Bedeschi America Inc., Bedeschi Dubai branch that promote and support the Group’s activities in the Middle East, India and the Far East.
In this year Bedeschi takes over ONT, the leading company in the production of bulk material handling systems.

Bedeschi New Acquisition of BMWC. Bedeschi S.P.A. of Padua, Italy announced the recent Asset Purchase of the Bulk Group of Dearborn Mid-West Conveyor Co, a leading provider of turnkey Bulk Material Handling Systems for Utility, Mining, Cement, Fertilizer, Refinery and Marine Terminal Markets.

At the end of 2015, Bedeschi S.p.A. the European leading company in the supply of turn-key complete installations for the clay brick & tile industry, added another important company to its Group. CAMI, based in Villaverla (Vicenza) Italy, historical provider of automated systems (automatic handling equipment).

Bedeschi S.P.A. announced the recent Asset Purchase of OMG-MGM Officine Meccaniche Galileo, an Italian engineering company specialized in the production and revamping of material handling equipment since more than 100 years.

In 2017 Bedeschi sold the majority shares of CTP to CTN, international group focusing on heavy steel structure and mechanical manufacturing. This operation allows our Group to focus in a better way on our core business.

At a global level, Bedeschi is becoming more and more the major player in the production of turn key solutions in bulk handling and brick sectors.
