For the new greenfield Coal Power Plant in Punta Catalina (Santo Domingo), Bedeschi supplied a Complete Material Handling equipment set from coal receiving rail Mobile Hopper on jetty, to coal storage and delivery, up to loading point at the boiler area.

The total plant capacity is 2×360 MW. The main feature of this supply is the 2150 m long pipe conveyor (D.700 mm) with a 3000 tph capacity.

The difficult weather conditions made the design phase extremely challenging for the equipment and its structures. Indeed, the area is frequently subjected to heavy winds (hurricane & tsunamis area), possible liquefactions of soil and earthquakes.
