As we journey through our history, we continue to talk about @Bedeschi’s innovations in the material handling industry.

The 1960s saw the rise of the innovative “dry” technology for cement production, which involves crushing raw material directly on the quarry site. Conventional crushing systems of the time proved unsuitable due to the characteristics of marl limestone, which sometimes arrived at the quarry moist.

Bedeschi, highly specialized in treating moist commodities – such as clay, peculiar material in the brick and tile production – began receiving various proposals from cement plants seeking to upgrade their facilities and to adapt to the new production method.

The innovative technical solution proposed by Bedeschi consisted of a large crusher with 2 toothed rollers that ensured smooth and proper operation even with moist and sticky materials. Also the apron feeder, which is essential for conveying material, has been meticulously designed to handle this type of material quickly and efficiently.
