Site update: Bedeschi is in the process of completing the erection of the third bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer to Acciaierie D’Italia, with a capacity of 6.500 t/h for coal and 4300 t/h for coke for the stacker and 1600 t/h for coal and 900 t/h for coke for the reclaimer. The first machine was manufactured in 2021, and the second in 2022. The erection phase of this last machine is ongoing.
The boom lifting operations were done using two cranes, the first one towards the bucket wheel of 750 tons and the inner one of 350 tons.
The boom, about 60 meters long and weighing more than 125 tons, was lifted from its initial position of 3 meters used to complete the preparatory work, to its final position of 16.3 meters.
