Yesterday Forterra PLC held the official opening ceremony of its new Desford plant which is Europe’s biggest and most efficient brick manufacturing plant.

Bedeschi supplied turn-key plant, with its own most modern technology, the plant has a capacity of 180 million bricks per year, which is enough to build 25,000 new homes; the factory’s sustainability advancements also ensure a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions per brick.
