Bedeschi project for Voestalpine (Texas)

The shiploader supplied by Bedeschi has an arm 50 meters long and has a loading capacity of 2,400 tons per hour. With its huge weight of 500 tons, the shiploader for Voestalpine in Texas (US) is one of the largest ever shipped out of Venice (Italy). It loads deep-sea vessels with HBI (hot briquetted iron). A peculiarity of its construction is its ability to use a special spiral chute system to reduce dust emissions during the loading process to an absolute minimum. The equipment is bound to rails, just like the two unloading cranes already installed in the craneway systems in the harbour basin. This gives the shiploader operator optimal capacity to position precisely the material during loading.
