Bedeschi revamping project at Trieste Marine Terminal

OMG – Bedeschi, specialized in revamping activity for container logistics, developed and used a dedicated “lifting cage” to raise the Cranes. This particular system was also used for the renewal project at Trieste Marine Terminal (Italy). The equipment, designed and manufactured by Bedeschi team, is still frequently used on existing machines. The system is made by a dummy portal on steel frame, located over the lower sill beams and strand jacks for raising finalization: it has the peculiarity to limit the civil works on the site area and doesn’t require the crane transfer, since the activities can be completed directly on the quay in few weeks and without affecting the terminal operations. We can provide height and outreach increases, span change, replacement of old trolleys, renewal of electrical equipment, motors replacement, increase of cranes performances, by upgrading the crane’s residual life and cost saving; your crane or any kind of travelling crane can be refurbished with upgraded capacity, better service, speeds, geometrical updating, duty classification and durability, saving on operation costs and maintenance of the apparatus, whilst improving productivity, safety and reliability. Renewal of the entire electrical equipment, including cabling, is provided by specialized mechanical and electrical engineering crew.
