When the Gorizia factory was expropriated, its manager Palmiro, in agreement with his brothers, moved to Argentina where he set up a subsidiary with mechanical workshop in Merlo, on the industrial outskirts of Buenos Aires.
The foreign market provided new opportunities; at the beginning of the 1950s, a new subsidiary was established in Caracas, Venezuela, with technical and commercial tasks.

After Palmiro and Mario’s death, in the continuity of the Bedeschi family, the company’s ownership remained to Rino (along with his brother Antonio, died in 1971) who, since 1958, has been effectively helped by his son Guglielmo, then a university student.
Bedeschi started an important diversification in sectors related to its core business to optimize the synergies resulting from its well-established technological knowledge. Exports expanded from North to South America, from Middle to Far East.

Bedeschi S.P.A. announced the recent Asset Purchase of OMG-MGM Officine Meccaniche Galileo, an Italian engineering company specialized in the production and revamping of material handling equipment since more than 100 years.
The Company’s product range includes ship to shore (STS) container cranes, rubber tyre gantry (RTG) cranes, rail mounted gantry (RMG) cranes and other special material lifting equipment for container handling.
The Company takes care of each step of the project execution from the engineering phase to the assembly, installation and start up and has great references also in revamping works of existing cranes.
OMG MGM will, from now on, build and test all the main key mechanical components of its cranes in the Italian Bedeschi workshop, which will offer the latest technologies tools and facilities for the perfect machining and testing of these special items.
A new further step forward for the Bedeschi Group , which thus enlarging its already waste range of products for port industries, being able to offer complete and integrated solutions perfectly matching every customer requirements.
